Domain management

Domain management consists of two things:

  1. Buying and maintaining your domain name (e.g. YourOrganization.com).
  2. Managing the DNS records.

These two items are done through what’s called a domain name registrar (GoDaddy, Google Domains, Domain.com, etc.). Don’t worry if you don’t know what a registrar or DNS records are; that’s what we’re here for. It’s important that these two items remain 100% in your organization’s control and ownership at all times. If they fall into the wrong hands, it could end up costing you thousands of dollars and countless hours of your time to get them back.

Here at Team Sports Admin, we will never take control of your domain or DNS records. Rather, we will keep ownership in your name and work with you to provide us access so we can take care of the rest.

If you have already purchased your domain, great! We will work with the registrar of your choice. If you haven’t purchased your domain yet, let us make a recommendation and walk you through the entire process step-by-step.

Of course, for many people, the “basic” reporting we already offer is more than enough. You can get all the information you need for all of your events, payments, and emails with this simple solution.

However, for those of you interested in automating some of your common reporting tasks that you’re manually doing today and setting up your own custom reports and dashboards based on the unique needs of your organization, our advanced reporting is built for you.

Advanced Reporting
  • Drill down into more advanced metrics and analysis by event type, specific events, teams, etc.
  • Map out player location data to help focus marketing efforts.
  • Automate and have your reports sent to you via email, Amazon S3, SFTP, or Webhook on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis (so you can stop running manual reports or adding your own custom calculations in Excel).
  • Get business financial metrics (e.g. the ability to analyze cash flow, LTV, customer churn, and payment type).
  • See upcoming payments (shows all future payments broken down by month instead of just a total amount).
  • Add custom field reporting and calculations for any custom fields you use for your events.

Dedicated IP address

By default, all links sent by email through your Team Sports Admin account use the following format: links.teamsportsadmin.com.

With a dedicated IP address for email, you can change these links so they only show your organization name in the URL (i.e., links.YourOrganization.com), so “teamsportsadmin.com” will no longer appear. White labeling these email links allows you to retain full control of your organization’s brand.

This will also allow us to monitor your email sending reputation daily to make sure you don’t end up on any of the over 100 email sender blacklists. Email blacklists help reduce spam messages, which is good in most cases, but if you’ve been blacklisted, some emails you send may not get delivered. If you do happen to end up on one of these blacklists (it happens from time to time and you would never know without monitoring), we will work behind the scenes to get you removed quickly so your reputation isn’t affected and we can ensure your participants always get your emails.
